Hosted Marlin Service

Hosted Marlin Service (HMS) is a new cloud service for delivering Marlin DRM licenses to customers on demand, using a pay-as-you-go model. It is ideal for content publishers, broadcasters, and Over-the-Top service providers who do not wish to operate their own Marlin servers. Customers can start small and scale up; as with all Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) architectures, this service is also ideal for high-volume customers.

For Developers
Hosted Marlin Service supports the Marlin Broadband and Marlin Simple Secure Streaming specifications. Transactions include device registration and license acquisition for Marlin Broadband and key acquisition for Marlin Secure Simple Streaming. Hosted Marlin Service generates tokens for devices based on content IDs , content keys, user IDs, and other user data provided by the customer.
